Eritrea successful so far faultlessly with a fourth stage victory today in seven stages.
Today is Meron Amanuel who won the sprint ahead of his breakaway companions. The break was made in the first climb of the day, when four men escaped with Meron Amanuel : South African Dylan Girdleston, Ethiopian Getachew Atsbha, Kenyan Samwel Mwangi and another Eritrean Aron Debretsion.
With an advantage of a minute and thirty seconds, the escape group arranged perfectly to spin to the arrival on the shores of Lake Kivu.
Meron Amanuel’s goal was the ranking of the best climber then he took maximum points in the two first category climbs before switching to arrival. Again, he left no chance for four riders who accompanied him and won the sprint ahead the South African Dylan Girdlestone. After Solomon Habte yesterday and Kudus Merhawi Monday, so this is another rider Eritrea Amanuel Meron, already winner in the second stage in Muhanga has fulfilled its mission while young Kudus Merhawi retained its first place in the overall standings.
Meron Amanuel age 22 is part of the rich pool of UCI Continental Centre led by Jean-Pierre Van Zyl. His experience racing abroad as the Tour de l’Avenir, the Tropical Amissa Bongo or the Tour of Morocco made him one of the most important Eritrean runners in the years to come.
