Three days after winning the prologue of Remi Pelletier-Roy Sunday in Kigali, another Canadian shone today towards Karongi (Kibuye) on the shores of Lake Kivu. Bruno Langlois scored a second victory today for his country on the roads of Rwanda where he never came.

In the way of Ryder Hesjedal the winner of the Tour of Italy last June, the rider of Team Quebecor Garneau showed that Canadian cycling was fine. This is one of the first times in the history of the Tour of Rwanda that this scenario with a long breakaway goes victorious to the finish. Bruno Langlois ran ahead of the peloton during 120 kilometres on the 152 of the program. He was accompanied by the young Eritrean Metkel Eyob before he losted touch with the Canadian when he picked up in the descent of the final climb, 22 kilometres before the finish line. Behind the peloton Bruno Langlois was never able to catch him, probably because the Canadian has a beautiful professional experience began in 2005 in the USA. Powerful and volunteer he was never worried by the front of the bunch when Eritreans were trying to force the junction.

With six riders from Eritrea in the top ten of the stage, we understand that the maneuvers will now begin on a course, than is perfect for theses young climbers in the next mountains stages , including the last three till Kigali Sunday.

The South African Darren Lill has retained his yellow jersey but the differences are still very tight with just one minute between the 1st and 10th in provisonnal overall standing. There is still a great suspense.
